A shattered vow
He promised her the moon and sky,
A love that time would never deny.
A trust once firm, now torn apart,
The wound of betrayal, a bleeding heart.
The vows they swore in Allah’s sight,
To cherish each other, to walk in light.
She gave him all, her heart, her soul,
Believing he would make her whole.
By Allah’s Name, they sealed their vow,
Yet sins have stained what’s broken now.
Did he forget the sacred trust?
The bond of nikah, pure and just?
She never knew, she never guessed,
Her love was put to the hardest test.
He played his game with careful art,
While breaking slowly his queen’s heart.
And in the silence, she will find
The strength to leave the past behind.
She release her pain to the heavens above,
Trusting in Allah’s boundless love.
She will stands though torn inside,
Her love and pain she cannot hide.
For even though the trust is gone,
She’ll rise again, Insha Allah.
For love may falter, hearts may break,
But she will heal, for her children sake.
